About
Sonia Golani is an alumna of Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi and a Post Graduate from Delhi University. She has been managing her recruitment consulting firm Management Consultants Group since setting it up in 1998. MCG specialises in recruitment of professionals (MBAs and CAs) for Banking, Financial Services, Insurance and FMCG sectors.
Sonia enjoys good conversations with a wide spectrum of interesting individuals and is passionate about life and its fascinating nuances which come across through her books—Corporate Divas published by Penguin and My Life, My Rules published by Westland.
Prior to setting up MCG, Sonia was managing the editorial and marketing of an agri business magazine which provided her with an enriching experience and exposure to the world of entrepreneurship, politics and writing as the magazine addressed business issues, policy matters and carried stories of successful start-ups.
Born and brought up in Jaipur, Sonia achieved the distinction of securing second rank in Rajasthan State in the class X Board exams. Later while pursuing ISC from the prestigious Maharani Gayatri Devi Girls School in Jaipur, she achieved the distinction again of being the school topper. In college, she was elected as Treasurer, Students' Union. Sonia believes in women empowerment and considers education as the key factor in building a progressive society. Going forward, she intends to pen more books and devote time to golf, her other passion.
